Based on the strategy of the Jordan Engineers Association(JEA)-the house of Jordanian engineering expertise in our beloved kingdom-to contribute to the development of the profession, through networking and sharing and corporation with the national leading organizations in Jordan, and with regional and international parties, to achieve and deepen the concept of sustainable development through comprehensive sustainable urban planning.
And based on the association’s participation(JEA) in maximizing our national achievements by celebrating the occasion of one hundred years of the foundation of the Jordanian state, with its victorious historical leadership, on the beginning of the second centennial of the glorious march, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, God saves him, the Jordan Engineers Association/Architecture Engineering Division organizes the Sixth Jordan International Architectural Conference entitled “The Future of Urban Planning and Jordan’s Centennial”. with the aim of reviewing various research and experiences, discussing the reality and future of urban planning in Jordan, the region and the world, and to discuss the present and future of urban planning in Jordan, the region and the world, identifying strengths and weaknesses in planning and organizational legislation, the practice of planning profession and urban planning standards used in the public and private sectors, and foreseeing Centenary future For a second for Jordan, in cooperation with partners in the subject of the conference: the Ministry of Local Administration, Greater Amman Municipality, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Investment Authority, Universities, Jordanian Planning Forum, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, and engineering companies, and all partners related to the urban planning and design and infrastructure planning etc.
The conference also aims in a serious attempt to assess the urban planning experience in Jordan and some other countries, and the quality of life in cities and rural areas, and how to find solutions for urban problems, like overpopulation, land use, slums, transportation, traffic, infrastructure and food, organizing movement between residents and services, and building on the relative and competitive advantages of each region., in addition, shedding light on the new theories of urban planning and design which aim to organize and improve the urban environment, improve the quality of services, the standard of living and the sustainability of development, and encourage researchers to link modern scientific research fields with urban planning issues in Jordan, the Arab world and the world. In addition to examining the international experiments in the development and rise of urban planning, and shed light on the new updates in urban planning, which affects the sustainable development on all local, regional and international levels, which are reflected positively on the joint cooperation and experience exchange in all aspects related urban planning.
