BIO:

Mr. Abdullah Hassan Al-Qahtani is Chief Engineer in Process Risk Management at SABIC. He holds Bs Degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh (1994). He has 30 years of working experience in the petrochemical industry. Mr Al-Qahtani joined Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company Kemya (SABIC/ExxonMobil Joint Venture) in 1994 and spent 18 years in various roles including process engineering, process control, operation management, process engineering management, project. He transferred to SABIC Corporate Manufacturing in 2013 where he led the Process Review & Operation Improvement function, MFG Strategy execution. He is currently working in the Process Risk management function. One of his current roles is leading the SABIC Process Safety Competency Development Strategic Initiative.

Mr. Al-Qahtani has served as the chairman of the Gulf Petrochemical & Chemicals Association (GPCA) Responsible Care Process Safety Taskforce since 2019.
