BIO:

Mohammad has been a risk management professional with more than 11 years of experience spanning different industries. He specializes in process safety management (PSM) and has been part of safety audits and assessments for multiple clients in mining, oil & gas, utilities, chemical and food manufacturing industries.

 In his various roles, Mohammad has provided strategic direction to senior leadership and C-suite personnel across industries for various HSE programs, initiatives, continuous improvement, and safety culture enablement. He has created and implemented solutions to instigate leadership change, to improve organizational culture, behavior, and efficiency. Mohammad has also worked in change management & project improvement teams with a focus on collaboration & adaptability to design creative and unique operational solutions customized to company needs in a fast-paced environment. His various roles have led him to engage and coach key professionals and senior leaders in improving safety culture and transforming leadership.

Mohammad’s operational experience was attained through working as a process safety engineer at one of the top 10 methanol-producing refineries in the world. In this role, he helped the company create, implement, and sustain a comprehensive process safety management system from scratch. Mohammad led the company to Responsible Care certification of its principles and standards. His contributions were also vital in launching a lifesaving rules and behavior-based safety program at the site, which had tremendous positive impact on its safety culture. Additionally, he was part of a team that worked to ensure successful recertification of the ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 9001 (Quality), and OHSAS 18001 (Safety) standards.
