Instrument and Control Engineer

BIO:

Mr. Zakaria is an instrumentation and control engineer and training instructor with around 18 years of extensive experience mainly in refineries.

Currently, he works in maintenance department for ADNOC Refining, where he is responsible for conducting proof testing and maintaining of safety instrumented systems.

Mr. Zakaria is interested in functional safety where he achieved the title of certified functional safety expert CFSE, from Exida and before that he had functional safety professional level from TUV SUD.

In addition, he has developed and delivered many training courses for ADNOC employees including functional safety, explosion-protected equipment and other instrumentation topics, and conducted competency assessment where he is a qualified assessor from SQA, Scotch Qualification Authority.
