JICEC Conference history and objectives

Since 1993 successful series of Jordan International Chemical Engineering Conference have been organized by Jordan Engineers Association in Amman, Jordan. This conference has started in 1993 in Amman then continued in 1996 in Irbid and since 1999 conferences are being held in Amman the Capital of Jordan. This conference has grown in the number of participants and the number of their countries to become a full fledged international conference with wide varieties of research topics.
Tracking the rapid developments of science and technology in the field of chemical engineering becomes vitally important issue for the researchers in academic institutions and in industry, when taking decisions for short and long term development plans. It is crucial to grasp the present advances in engineering to help in solving serious technical and social problems in Jordan and other places in the world. For this reason, these conferences are considered as important meeting stations between chemical engineers to share ideas between each others, initiate joint research projects and to get involved in solving problems of common engineering issues. Finally, these conferences aim to explore some of the significant and emerging scientific discoveries, their applications in Chemical Engineering and their role in society.
